Customer Service / Yardperson (Saturdays)

About the role

Goldpine Putaruru is looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic person to join its team as an Outdoor Timber Specialist (Customer Service / Yardperson). This is a permanent part-time position working Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm (4.5 hours per week). No previous experience is necessary, as training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, answer questions and help them find the right products for their projects
• Assist with sales and ensure customer orders are processed accurately
• Prepare and load customer orders, including timber and fence posts
• Keep the store and yard tidy, safe and well stocked

Required profile

• Reliability and a commitment to being ready to work each Saturday
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to help customers
• Honesty, integrity and a willingness to learn
• Physical fitness to safely handle timber and posts
• A practical, hands-on approach and a commitment to working safely
• Experience in customer service, farming or a similar environment is an advantage
