Territory Manager - Endoscopy

About the role

Medtronic's Endoscopy business is growing and is looking for a Territory Manager to join a dedicated team in Auckland, New Zealand. You will partner with hospital customer networks and drive territory sales revenue, promoting and selling products in the public and private sectors, both virtually and face to face.

Key responsibilities

• Plan work to achieve or exceed sales targets while keeping a professional image for Medtronic in the marketplace.
• Seek new business by planning meetings with key personnel.
• Understand customer needs and offer credible alternatives that benefit both customer and company.
• Provide education and training to clinical end users and hospital staff.
• Manage customer queries professionally, with timely follow-up and resolution of technical and product issues, including after-hours support when needed.
• Maintain the highest level of product and technical knowledge.
• Gather market intelligence on product, price, promotion and discounts from customers, competitors and suppliers.
• Recognise and understand competitive products and actively develop territory management and selling skills.
• All activities and planning are carried out using Salesforce.com.

Required profile

• High school certificate and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated success in sales roles within the medical devices or pharmaceuticals industry.
• Working knowledge of company products and services.
• Valid driver's licence, own transport and willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Computer literacy, including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite (important because many products are software driven).
• Salesforce.com for territory management and selling.
