Corporate Tax Manager / Senior Manager (Part‑time) – Auckland

About the role

PwC New Zealand is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to lead a team of tax advisors on a part‑time basis in Auckland. You will help deliver high‑quality tax advice to high‑value global clients, using AI and digital tools to enhance efficiency and client outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage GenAI, digital platforms and PwC methodologies to improve consistency and client results.
• Coach, delegate to and support junior team members across advisory and compliance work.
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients, acting as a strategic advisor.
• Identify and pursue business‑development opportunities to grow the portfolio.
• Provide technically robust advice on complex tax matters such as acquisitions, divestments and corporate tax issues.
• Lead delivery of tax advisory and compliance engagements with support from Tax Partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of proven tax experience in a professional environment.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand tax legislation and revenue authority practices (or comparable jurisdiction).
• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams or complex projects.
• Experience in strategic business development and client relationship management.
• International exposure is an advantage.
