Compliance Manager - Risk Management & Independence

About the role

PwC New Zealand is looking for a Compliance Manager to help embed compliance obligations across the firm. You will provide trusted advice, translate regulatory requirements into practical actions, and support a strong risk culture throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform compliance monitoring to assess adherence to regulatory obligations, internal policies and PwC network standards.
• Maintain the compliance framework and obligations register, ensuring accuracy and proper assignment.
• Analyse compliance results and key risk indicators to identify trends, control gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare compliance reports, dashboards and regulatory submissions for senior leadership and governance forums.
• Partner with business stakeholders and offshore teams to strengthen controls and improve processes using technology and AI‑enabled solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, risk, legal or regulatory roles within a regulated environment, preferably financial services or professional services.
• Proven ability to interpret legislative and regulatory requirements and apply them in a business context.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience assessing control design and operating effectiveness.
• Ability to prepare concise reports for senior leadership and manage remediation activities across multiple stakeholders.
