Category Manager Corporate Services

About the role

The Category Manager – Corporate Services will lead the development and delivery of category strategies that create commercial value, manage risk and support ANZ’s business objectives. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you will shape the long‑term direction of the corporate services portfolio, covering categories such as Property, Marketing, Media and Data.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies that drive cost savings, quality improvements and service excellence.
• Manage end‑to‑end sourcing activities, including supplier selection, contract negotiation and commercial delivery.
• Use data, market insights and supplier analysis to identify innovation and optimisation opportunities.
• Proactively manage commercial, operational and supply‑chain risks while fostering supplier innovation.
• Monitor category performance against targets and report results to senior leadership.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and key business stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment with Group procurement strategies and regulatory requirements such as BS11 and CPS230.
• Collaborate with global and regional procurement teams to harmonise category approaches.

Required profile

• Significant experience in procurement or category management, preferably within a large corporate or financial services environment.
• Proven ability to lead complex sourcing initiatives and negotiate high‑value contracts.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., BS11, CPS230) is essential.
