Casual Registered Nurse – PACU

About the role

We are seeking a casual Registered Nurse to work in the Post‑Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) at Forté Health, a modern private surgical hospital in central Christchurch. The role offers flexible casual shifts, covering annual and sick leave and supporting patient flow.

Key responsibilities

• Provide coverage for annual and sick leave and act as an extra pair of hands during peaks in patient flow.
• Deliver high‑quality patient care in the PACU, ensuring a positive experience for patients, whānau and the team.
• Work 4‑8 hour shifts, with the earliest start at 7:45 am and the final shift ending around 9 pm, Monday to Friday.

Required profile

• At least 2–3 years recent PACU experience and ability to step into the role from day one.
• Enjoy the flexibility of casual work and thrive in a supportive, professional team environment.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage with patients and whānau.
• Commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible practices.
