Blue Collar Recruitment Advisor (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are looking for a Blue Collar Recruitment Advisor to join Downer’s Transport & Infrastructure team in Auckland. This fixed‑term position (covering parental leave until December 2026) will involve high‑volume hiring across New Zealand and Australia, supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs for blue‑collar and trades roles.
• Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process, from sourcing and screening to offer negotiation.
• Maintain and update a busy recruitment dashboard to track progress and meet tight deadlines.
• Provide exceptional candidate care and ensure a positive experience throughout the hiring journey.
• Promote inclusive hiring practices and champion equal opportunity for all applicants.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of high‑volume recruitment experience, preferably in blue‑collar or trades environments.
• Experience working in an agency or internal recruitment setting.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with hiring managers.
