Azure Cloud Operations Engineer

About the role

Join a high‑performing cloud platform team supporting a large‑scale enterprise Azure environment in Auckland. You will work hands‑on with production cloud platforms, automate repetitive tasks and contribute to migration and modernisation initiatives from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise Azure environments, including networking, security, compute and storage.
• Assist with cloud migration, modernisation and Azure landing‑zone projects.
• Design, build and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions, primarily using Terraform.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, manage on‑call rotations and drive operational excellence.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and stakeholders to improve reliability, performance and security.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and automate deployments.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure infrastructure at enterprise scale.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and comfortable in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
