Associate Civil Engineer - Land Infrastructure

About the role

Join Aurecon Group as an Associate Civil Engineer focusing on land infrastructure in Auckland. You will lead complex civil design projects, delivering sustainable stormwater, utilities and infrastructure solutions across New Zealand’s urban environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex civil design projects across urban development and infrastructure.
• Deliver stormwater, utilities and civil infrastructure solutions for major projects.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Champion technical quality and design excellence throughout project delivery.
• Lead internal project and design management for large‑scale infrastructure work.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers within the wider team.
• Drive innovation and digital delivery across projects and client solutions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience within a civil engineering consultancy environment.
• Strong capability across roads, drainage, earthworks, utilities and pavements.
• Deep understanding of New Zealand civil design standards and project delivery.
• Experience in construction monitoring and quality assurance.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or progressing toward it.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder engagement capability.
• Collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and team development.
