Civil Engineer – Invercargill

About the role

WSP is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join its Invercargill office. You will work on a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and community‑focused projects, including transportation, water and general civil works, while developing your technical and project delivery expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver civil and water infrastructure projects.
• Assist with project management tasks such as budgeting, reporting and programme delivery.
• Conduct investigations, analyses and produce technical designs.
• Prepare reports, drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Support construction monitoring and supervision activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ civil engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Proven experience in the design and delivery of a variety of infrastructure projects.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Client‑focused mindset and collaborative approach.
• Full, clean driver’s licence.

• Salary range $90,000 – $110,000 per annum (NZD).
