Asset Team Lead

About the role

Silver Fern Farms is seeking an Asset Team Lead for its Finegand site in Balclutha. Reporting to the Engineering Operations Manager, you will shape asset management and reliability across a busy, expanding production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and embed strong asset management and maintenance strategies across the site.
• Build trusted relationships with production, engineering, health & safety and other key teams.
• Support production with reliable facilities and equipment to meet market demands.
• Identify opportunities to improve, simplify and strengthen reliability.
• Work with leaders to develop continuous‑improvement processes rather than reactive firefighting.

Required profile

• Approachable, adaptable and confident working with people at all levels.
• Passionate about reliability, maintenance planning and continuous improvement.
• Open‑minded and willing to challenge existing ways of working.
• Experienced in asset management, maintenance or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communicator who enjoys improving systems through teamwork.
