Apparel Buyer (Retail)

About the role

We are looking for an Apparel Buyer to join Rebel Sport’s Merchandise team. In this role you will shape the apparel range, ensuring it meets customer expectations, reflects market trends and supports the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Source, select and manage apparel assortments that align with customer needs, market trends and business strategy.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, terms and product opportunities.
• Analyse sales, stock, margin and market data to inform buying decisions.
• Manage category performance throughout the product lifecycle, including ranging, pricing, promotions and clearance.
• Collaborate with planners to optimise stock levels and turnover.
• Partner with Marketing, Ecommerce, Retail Operations and stores to support product launches and promotional activities.

Required profile

• 2–3 years’ experience in buying, category management or a similar merchandise role.
• Apparel buying experience is highly regarded.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret sales, stock and margin data.
• Effective negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive, curious and customer‑focused approach with a passion for retail and sport.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or a related field is advantageous.
