About the role
Wellington Regional Hospital is recruiting an experienced pharmacist as Advanced Pharmacist for its Acute Health of Older People (AHOP) team. The AHOP team provides direct patient care to inpatients, advises other specialties on patient care, and leads service development and education in this clinical area. The position is permanent and full-time, with Saturday work, public holidays and on-call duty on a rostered basis.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the leadership and management of the Pharmacy service
- Support direct clinical and technical practice
- Take part in teaching others
- Take part in whole-of-service improvement
Required profile
- Registered pharmacist in New Zealand with a valid APC, or eligible to register
- At least 5 years of clinical practice; previous experience in the older people setting is highly desirable
- Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and innovatively
- Able to build good working relationships within a multidisciplinary team
