About the role
Rocket Lab is seeking a Vehicle Integration Technician to join its Integration team. You will work hands‑on with tools, equipment and facilities to assemble, test and install components on the Electron launch vehicle, supporting the company’s rapid launch cadence.
Key responsibilities
- Install mechanical and avionic components, wiring harnesses and high‑voltage batteries on the Electron launch vehicle.
- Perform precision assembly tasks while adhering to strict cleanliness and oxygen‑service standards.
- Inspect assemblies to ensure high workmanship quality and compliance with industry specifications.
- Collaborate with both avionic and mechanical technicians to meet production and launch schedules.
- Work the evening shift (Monday‑Thursday, 15:00‑01:30) and receive an additional shift allowance.
Required profile
- Trade‑qualified in a relevant industry.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in precision avionic and/or mechanical assembly.
- Strong visual acuity for detailed inspection work.
- Ability to work to exacting standards, including cleanliness for oxygen‑service environments.
- Willingness to relocate (relocation assistance provided).
