Production Planner

About the role

We are looking for a Production Planner to manage production plans for selected Hynds production units. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will maximise customer availability by efficiently using resources and optimising plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide product availability estimates for sales enquiries on standard and non‑standard products.
• Alert relevant parties when delivery dates are at risk of breach.
• Investigate production compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare weekly firm schedules (1‑2 weeks) for each work centre across the relevant factories.
• Participate in communication meetings with manufacturing and sales teams and ensure assigned tasks are completed.
• Identify opportunities to reduce inventory surpluses through alternative substitution.

Required profile

• Strong planning and organisational abilities to coordinate resources, schedules and workflows.
• High attention to detail for costings, technical data and supporting documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset to interpret production and inventory data.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt plans in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
