Strategy and Planning Consultant

About the role

Join ASB’s Business and Corporate Banking Strategy team as a Strategy and Planning Consultant. You will support senior leadership and the Executive team by turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that shape the bank’s strategic direction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the reporting function for Business and Corporate Banking, including Executive Leadership Team and Board reporting.
• Support the development, translation and coordination of strategy to enable successful delivery across divisions.
• Monitor, track and test strategic initiatives, adapting them to stay aligned with the wider organisational strategy.
• Partner with the Head of Strategy and senior leaders to drive strategic projects.
• Assist executives with communication and translation of strategic initiatives and key projects.

Required profile

• Thrives in a fast‑paced, complex environment with strong curiosity and analytical thinking.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and communicating clearly across diverse audiences.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and 3+ years’ experience in a large corporate, consulting or professional services setting.
• Strong research and analytical capability to generate meaningful insights.
• Sound business and financial acumen with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to build relationships and influence others.
