Senior Tech Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Technology Project Manager – Schemes will lead end‑to‑end delivery of Card Schemes Compliance changes across ANZ’s card ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of business compliance and complex, cross‑platform technology transformation, providing visibility and assurance for quarterly releases and scheme initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of quarterly Card Schemes Compliance releases across multiple technology domains.
• Coordinate teams, systems, dependencies and priorities to ensure seamless execution.
• Translate scheme mandates and compliance requirements into sequenced technology delivery plans.
• Maintain portfolio‑level oversight of scheme initiatives, managing risks, dependencies and constraints.
• Provide fact‑based reporting to governance and prioritisation forums.
• Oversee resourcing, addressing contention and delivery risk proactively.
• Partner with business, technology and vendors to achieve compliant outcomes quickly.
• Lead or contribute to complex card switch and scheme‑related initiatives aligned with the broader portfolio.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering Card Schemes Compliance (Visa and/or Mastercard) projects in regulated environments.
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale, cross‑domain technology change at enterprise level.
• Ability to operate at portfolio level, providing clear, fact‑based insights for prioritisation and decision‑making.
• Strong governance and risk management capabilities.
