Senior Systems Engineer (3‑month Contract)

About the role

Marshall Day Acoustics is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer on a 3‑month contract to support the modernisation of its IT infrastructure across New Zealand and Australia. The role will be hybrid, based primarily in Auckland but flexible to work from any MDA NZ office.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute Windows Server and Active Directory migrations, including de‑commissioning legacy domain controllers.
• Re‑organise and migrate file servers across the NZ/AU office footprint.
• Implement identity and SSO solutions using Entra Enterprise Apps, SAML, SCIM and OpenID, and configure AWS access via SSO.
• Assist the managed services provider with endpoint modernisation, including Intune and Autopilot roll‑outs and desktop standardisation.
• Liaise with the MSP and other third‑party providers to resolve issues and document procedures.

Required profile

• Senior‑level generalist with deep experience in Windows Server, Active Directory and identity management.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive complex migration projects.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to infrastructure improvement.
