Senior People & Culture Consultant

About the role

Humankind is seeking an experienced Senior People & Culture Consultant to join our Auckland team as an Associate Director. In this senior consulting and leadership position you will act as a trusted advisor to ambitious New Zealand organisations, guiding them through growth, change and the evolving world of work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex, high‑impact people and culture engagements for a portfolio of clients.
• Coach and develop junior consultants, elevating team capability through technical expertise.
• Deepen relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.
• Design and deliver compelling solutions in strategy, organisational design, employee experience and employment relations.
• Influence senior leaders, build trust quickly and drive commercial outcomes.

Required profile

• Strategic thinker with a strong track record of executing people initiatives.
• Significant experience in people & culture, employee experience, employment relations and organisational development.
• Previous senior leadership or P&C/ER roles, managing large, complex projects.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and commercial acumen.
• Passion for modern people practices and the future of work.
• Experience in consulting or professional‑services environments.
• Collaborative, curious, authentic and energised by helping people and organisations thrive.
