Senior Front-End Engineer – 6‑Month Contract (Remote, NZ)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Front‑End Engineer to join a fully remote, international team on a 6‑month contract. The role focuses on building and enhancing a construction asset management platform that supports fleet operations and field equipment tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement front‑end features using React, TypeScript, JavaScript and Node.js.
• Write maintainable, high‑performance code with a strong emphasis on usability and stability.
• Translate product requirements into responsive UI components.
• Support feature releases through testing, debugging and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with QA, product and backend teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews and continuous‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• 8+ years of front‑end or full‑stack development experience.
• Strong expertise in React, JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.js.
• Deep understanding of front‑end architecture and reusable component design.
• Experience with performance tuning, refactoring and unit testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows and Agile delivery.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, Elasticsearch, Kinesis).
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• Must reside in New Zealand and have valid working rights.
