Retail Sales Assistant – Part‑time (Mt Maunganui)

About the role

Join our vibrant retail team in Mt Maunganui as a part‑time Sales Assistant. You’ll be the friendly face that welcomes customers, helps them find what they need, and ensures a smooth checkout experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers on the shop floor, providing product information and recommendations.
• Operate the cash register, handle transactions and process payments accurately.
• Maintain store presentation, restock shelves and keep the sales floor tidy.
• Support promotional activities and seasonal merchandising.
• Work flexible weekend shifts (approximately 4 hours) and be available for public holidays when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year retail experience, including cash handling.
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and able to work well in a team.
• Availability to start immediately.

• Cash handling and point‑of‑sale operation.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Basic numeracy and attention to detail.
