About the role
Novotel Queenstown Lakeside is looking for an experienced Reservations Manager to lead its Reservations Department. The role focuses on maximising occupancy and revenue while delivering exceptional guest service.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Reservations Department.
- Lead, supervise, train and develop reservations team members.
- Monitor room inventory, occupancy levels and booking trends to optimise revenue.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase occupancy and room revenue.
- Prepare occupancy forecasts, revenue reports and performance analyses for management.
- Manage room allocations, rate structures, allotments and availability across all distribution channels.
- Coordinate group reservations and special accommodation requests.
- Identify and manage overbooking risks and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Sales, Revenue, Food & Beverage and other operational departments.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting on reservations performance, travel agencies and corporate accounts.
Required profile
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in hotel reservations, revenue management, front office management or a related hospitality leadership role.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams within a hotel environment.
- Strong analytical, reporting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required skills
- Opera PMS (or similar property management system).
- Hotel reservation systems and property management systems.
