Production Operator

About the role

Join the Board Plant at our Tauriko facility, a high‑volume, safety‑led plasterboard manufacturing environment. As a Production Operator you will own a critical stage of the line, setting up equipment, monitoring performance, diagnosing issues and making adjustments to keep production running safely, efficiently and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and adjust production equipment on a highly automated line.
• Monitor process performance via control systems and respond to alarms or deviations.
• Replenish production lines to maintain output and handle material flow.
• Carry out quality checks and testing to ensure product meets strict standards.
• Safely operate forklifts and other plant equipment, handling loads up to 25 kg.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing, processing or technical operating environment (trade backgrounds considered).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working with machinery and systems.
• Good numeracy, attention to detail and clear communication skills.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
• Forklift licence preferred.
