Maintenance Fitter – Tauriko, Tauranga

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Tauriko, Tauranga. The role involves providing mechanical maintenance services on a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule with additional on‑call duties as part of a rotating roster.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality, cost‑effective mechanical maintenance to minimise unplanned downtime and maximise plant throughput.
• Respond to on‑call emergencies, with a competitive call‑out allowance and travel reimbursement for off‑site work.
• Collaborate with the Mechanical Maintenance Manager and plant personnel to diagnose and resolve faults.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and lead by example.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing environment (e.g., cement, steel, plastics, dairy, pulp & paper).
• Level 4 Engineering Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritise work, think quickly and work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to health & safety protocols.
