Platform Security Engineer

About the role

Partly is looking for a Platform Security Engineer to own and improve the security posture of its global parts platform. Reporting to the Platform Lead, you will work closely with the SRE team to blend security hardening with platform reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in on‑call rotation with the SRE team to maintain platform availability.
• Develop and test security incident response plans, lead post‑incident reviews, and handle security‑related incidents.
• Prepare for and pass security audits such as ISO 27001 and future SOC 2, maintaining continuous compliance via Vanta.
• Respond to enterprise customer security questionnaires and keep the risk register up to date.
• Implement principle of least privilege across the stack, including PostgreSQL role management, Kubernetes RBAC refinement, and secrets control.
• Build security event monitoring, alerting, and reporting mechanisms.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience securing cloud‑native infrastructure and collaborating with SRE teams.
• Proven ability to design and execute security controls beyond checklist compliance.
• Experience leading security audits and maintaining continuous compliance.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a focus on reliability and scalability.

Required skills
