OPEX Supervisor

About the role

Downer is seeking an experienced OPEX Supervisor to lead operational delivery across its projects. You will coordinate crews and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and oversee day‑to‑day site operations and project activities.
• Develop work plans, assign resources and coordinate crews and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to specification.
• Maintain accurate daily records, reports and documentation.
• Manage plant and equipment safely, minimise downtime and optimise utilisation.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs for all equipment.
• Champion a Zero Harm culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Conduct audits, inspections and safety checks.
• Lead, coach and develop on‑site team members, supporting skill development and career progression.
• Foster a positive, high‑performing team culture.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and the public.
• Address issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Strong technical knowledge combined with excellent planning abilities.
