Materials Manager

About the role

As the Materials Manager within the Major Projects group, you will oversee the flow of materials and equipment across the development, construction and commissioning phases of large‑scale renewable projects in New Zealand. You will ensure safe, timely and high‑quality delivery by coordinating suppliers, logistics and on‑site storage.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end materials management, from expediting and logistics to storage and documentation.
• Coordinate with project engineers, suppliers and delivery partners to keep material flow on schedule.
• Manage supplier engagement, inventory control and material tracking.
• Support project teams in maintaining safety, quality and process discipline.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in materials management on large‑scale capital projects, preferably in the electrical/energy sector.
• Strong organisational abilities and proven capacity to manage multiple moving parts.
• Clear communicator who builds trusted relationships with engineers, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety, quality and disciplined processes.
