Manager – Internal Audit & Risk Consulting

About the role

EY is seeking a Manager for its Internal Audit – Risk Consulting practice in Auckland. You will lead audit engagements, ensure robust risk management, control and governance processes, and contribute to building a better working world.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on internal audit engagements.
• Engage with clients, manage relationships and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit standards and relevant regulations.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Manage budgets and oversee the delivery team for internal audit projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit, risk management or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams in a professional services environment.
• Experience with large, complex organisations and budget management.
• New Zealand working citizen or permanent resident.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; professional certifications (CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, CIPP, CPA, CISA, CA) are a plus.
