Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑focused Management Accountant to join a leading New Zealand manufacturing business. The role is hands‑on, partnering with finance and operations across Pokeno and East Tamaki sites to drive performance, improve costing accuracy and support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve product costing, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and inventory accuracy.
• Support month‑end processes, ensuring data integrity and performing variance analysis.
• Provide insightful analysis of manufacturing performance to aid operational decisions.
• Collaborate with operational teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
• Assist with stocktakes and ensure accuracy of raw materials and finished goods.
• Support CAPEX analysis and project costing initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of ERP, costing and manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or cost accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of cost drivers and performance levers in manufacturing.
• High attention to detail and a proactive, results‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, able to partner across finance and operations.
