About the role
The Inwards & Inventory Officer ensures the accurate and timely receipt of hearing aids, accessories, stationery, batteries, audiology equipment, brochures and other items into Amplifon's central warehouse. The role supports inventory accuracy, stock placement and coordination with logistics and demand planning teams.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately receive and count inbound stock (hearing aids, accessories, stationery, batteries, audiology equipment, etc.) and put away into designated warehouse bins.
- Record all inbound stock in the Amplifon JD Edwards (JDE) database to maintain robust inventory data.
- Allocate and maintain optimal bin locations, ensuring FIFO rotation and efficient picking flow.
- Coordinate with demand planners and logistics specialists on missing, over‑ or under‑received stock.
- Conduct month‑end and year‑end stock takes and cycle counts.
- Track and trace missing consignments when required.
- Perform quality checks on inbound items, identify discrepancies or damages, and report them.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve inbound stock issues.
- Provide required documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Recommend and implement process improvements for inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
- Support health & safety compliance, warehouse procedures and company policies.
- Respond promptly to emails and contribute to the Operations/Support Office team.
