About the role

EY is seeking experienced Internal Audit professionals who plan to return to Aotearoa New Zealand in early 2026. Positions are available within EY Risk Consulting in Auckland or Wellington, offering the chance to work on diverse client engagements across government, health, education and corporate sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver risk engagements from planning to reporting across compliance, financial, operational and strategic risk areas.
• Assess client processes and controls, identify risk mitigation opportunities and recommend improvements.
• Coach and develop junior team members throughout engagements.
• Manage a portfolio of clients as a trusted advisor, supporting internal audit plan design and delivery.

Required profile

• Professional experience in internal audit or risk consulting.
• Willingness to start in early 2026 and relocate to Auckland or Wellington.
• Ability to work flexibly, including reduced‑hour arrangements if needed.
