Import Supply Customer Services Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Import Supply Customer Services Manager to lead our Import Distribution Centre team in Onehunga. This pivotal role connects the sales network, customers, and the wider supply chain, ensuring imported products move smoothly from overseas vendors to branches and end‑customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the customer service team.
• Collaborate with the sales network and customers to understand imported product requirements.
• Support forecasting activities to guide procurement on future needs.
• Monitor and communicate delivery ETAs, ensuring purchase order accuracy.
• Provide proactive updates on stock availability, substitutions and potential supply issues.
• Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes and service standards.
• Participate in stocktakes and support import stock setting reviews.

Required profile

• Experience in purchasing, planning or a senior customer service role.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail when working with procurement data and systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
• Collaborative, team‑first attitude with a results‑driven mindset.
• Commercial acumen and confidence to lead through change.
