Despatch Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Despatch Operator to join our Distribution Team in Hillsborough, Christchurch. Working on a rotating shift roster, you will help ensure our high‑quality plasterboard products reach customers efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Unload incoming trucks and load outbound trucks according to customer orders.
• Pick and prepare orders while maintaining In Full, On Time and In Spec (I.F.O.T.I.S) standards.
• Operate fork hoists and follow safe loading/unloading procedures for high‑risk products.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily dispatch targets.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and report any hazards.

Required profile

• Responsive team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Extensive experience operating a fork hoist in a warehouse environment.
• Attention to detail, good organisational abilities and the capacity to plan ahead.
• Safety‑focused, self‑motivated and able to work effectively in a team.
• Current forklift licence and ability to pass a medical test.
• Willingness to work rotating morning and afternoon shifts.
