Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care while maintaining dignity, privacy and comfort.
• Assist residents with daily activities such as hygiene, mobility, nutrition and hydration.
• Observe and respond to physical and emotional needs, escalating concerns when required.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with residents, families and whānau.
• Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment that promotes wellbeing and independence.
• Follow individual care plans and collaborate closely with Registered Nurses.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families and the wider team.
• Uphold health, safety and infection‑control practices.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in caregiving, aged care or a similar role.
• Compassionate, patient and respectful approach to caring for older adults.
• Strong communication abilities and a team‑focused mindset.
• Commitment to safety, dignity and resident‑centred care.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and night shifts.
