About the role
The Lane Retreat is seeking a casual Guest Services Attendant to join its boutique accommodation team in the Hunter Valley wine region. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm, seamless experience from arrival to departure while supporting the venue’s wine‑country hospitality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome guests in person, by phone, and via email with a professional and friendly approach.
- Prepare arrivals, welcome cards, and room amenities to a high standard.
- Assist with dinner and wine‑tasting reservations at Bimbadgen and partner venues.
- Process sales, prepare coffees in The Pantry, and handle cash and credit‑card transactions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver smooth guest experiences.
- Stay informed about The Lane Retreat and Bimbadgen offerings to advise guests and generate sales.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a receptionist, hotel front‑office attendant, or similar role.
- Strong customer‑service and communication skills across in‑person, phone, and email channels.
- RSA certification and a valid driver’s licence.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays (shifts 7 am–11 pm).
Required skills
- Knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS) and end‑of‑day reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
