Graduate Front-end Software Developer

About the role

Youtap Limited is seeking a Graduate Front‑end Software Developer to join its Auckland team. You will help build web and mobile applications for digital payments, wallets and loyalty platforms, leveraging AI‑assisted development tools to deliver features quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain web and mobile applications using React across Youtap’s digital payments, wallet and loyalty products.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT) to prototype, generate boilerplate, write tests and accelerate feature delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into responsive, intuitive interfaces.
• Work with solution architects to ensure code meets technical standards, scalability and best practices.
• Convert UI/UX designs into clean, reusable React components.
• Integrate with REST APIs and back‑end services, using AI assistance to speed integration.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies and continuous improvement activities.
• Optimise application performance for both web and mobile environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or near completion) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in fintech, digital payments or loyalty/rewards platforms.
• Right to work in New Zealand and ability to work on‑site in Auckland CBD.
• Bias for action and comfort shipping iteratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Foundational knowledge of React, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT.
• Ability to integrate with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (optional).
