Food and Beverage Duty Manager

About the role
The Food and Beverage Duty Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the hotel’s food and beverage outlets, including the restaurant, bar, room service, mini-bar and function areas. Working on shift, you will ensure high standards, enhance guest experience and support the F&B Manager with stock control, ordering and team training.
Key responsibilities
- Drive revenue and achieve budgeted targets across all F&B outlets.
- Account for stock, place orders through the company purchasing system and conduct regular stock takes.
- Prepare daily banking and cash-flow reports and supervise cash-handling procedures.
- Control costs, monitor forecasts and implement efficiency improvements.
- Maintain compliance with liquor licensing laws and the hotel’s responsible service of alcohol policy.
- Communicate effectively with team members and ensure superior customer service at all times.
Required profile
- Previous senior experience in hotel Food & Beverage operations.
- Current Managers Certificate under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
- Valid right to work in New Zealand.
- Flexible to work rostered shifts, including weekends, late nights and public holidays.
- NZQF Diploma or at least three years of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) and relevant hospitality qualifications.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using a Property Management System such as Opera.
- Cash handling and banking procedures.
