Food and Beverage Duty Manager

About the role

The Food and Beverage Duty Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the hotel’s food and beverage outlets, including the restaurant, bar, room service, mini-bar and function areas. Working on shift, you will ensure high standards, enhance guest experience and support the F&B Manager with stock control, ordering and team training.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue and achieve budgeted targets across all F&B outlets.
• Account for stock, place orders through the company purchasing system and conduct regular stock takes.
• Prepare daily banking and cash-flow reports and supervise cash-handling procedures.
• Control costs, monitor forecasts and implement efficiency improvements.
• Maintain compliance with liquor licensing laws and the hotel’s responsible service of alcohol policy.
• Communicate effectively with team members and ensure superior customer service at all times.

Required profile

• Previous senior experience in hotel Food & Beverage operations.
• Current Managers Certificate under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
• Valid right to work in New Zealand.
• Flexible to work rostered shifts, including weekends, late nights and public holidays.
• NZQF Diploma or at least three years of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) and relevant hospitality qualifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using a Property Management System such as Opera.
• Cash handling and banking procedures.
