Financial Analyst – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

BNZ’s Enterprise Performance Team is looking for a Finance Analyst on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. You will support the wider Finance function by providing accurate accounting, reporting and analytical insights that help the bank make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and complete regular accounting processes and prepare management reports.
• Perform transactional accounting tasks such as journal entries, cash transfers and monthly reconciliations.
• Respond to queries and requests from business units and other Finance teams.
• Continuously review, improve and transform accounting procedures.
• Provide support and actively participate in Finance‑related projects.

Required profile

• Team player with strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Minimum 2 years experience in an analyst, accounting or similar business role.
• Enthusiastic about a career in banking and eager to develop finance expertise.
• Drive for continuous improvement and willingness to support colleagues.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Power BI for data visualisation and analysis.
• Ability to manipulate and analyse data effectively.
