Finance Manager (12 Month Maternity Cover)

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to cover a 12‑month maternity leave. Reporting to the Finance Controller and working alongside two accountants, you will be responsible for core accounting functions within a listed financial services business with a multi‑billion‑dollar asset base.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise two accounting professionals, fostering team growth and performance.
• Prepare accurate month‑end work papers and provide analytical management commentary.
• Coordinate the annual OPEX budgeting and wash‑up process.
• Manage daily treasury activities, cash‑flow forecasting and loan drawdowns.
• Oversee tax workflows, GST filings and complex asset transaction accounting.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CA or equivalent) with a background in audit or financial services preferred.
• Strong communicator able to interpret complex transactions and accounting standards.
• Suitable for a recent CA‑qualified professional or someone seeking their first Finance Manager role with a few years post‑qualification experience.
