Field Service Technician – Forklift Repairs in Gisborne

About the role

Join Crown Equipment’s stable, supportive team as a Field Service Technician based in Gisborne. You’ll perform on‑site and workshop repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of battery‑electric and internal‑combustion forklifts, ensuring customers’ operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain forklifts at customer sites and in the Hastings workshop.
• Provide timely, high‑quality service to a range of material‑handling equipment.
• Respond to on‑call duties and support overtime as required.
• Handle manual‑lifting tasks and ensure safety standards are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience with material‑handling equipment, auto‑electrical, diesel or motor‑mechanic work, or a related trade qualification.
• Customer‑centric attitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Team player, IT‑savvy and able to learn new systems quickly.
• Physically fit for manual handling and hold a valid driver’s licence.
• Willing to undergo a pre‑employment medical, drug & alcohol test.
