Service Technician III – Material Handling Systems

About the role

Vanderlande is seeking a Service Technician III to join its team at the Asda site in Warrington. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, ensuring high availability, safety compliance, and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on all equipment.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and execute effective corrective actions.
• Interact professionally with the customer via face‑to‑face, phone, email or radio.
• Maintain contract Service Level Agreements and seek continuous improvement.
• Provide shift cover and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Carry out routine checks, cleaning, lubrication and monitoring of systems.
• Identify root causes and implement permanent solutions.

Required profile

• Good level of electrical and mechanical multi‑skilling.
• Methodical, accurate and proven problem‑solving ability.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Experience with automated material handling or ASRS is advantageous.
