Faculty Lead – Education (Health & Science)

About the role

Provide senior academic leadership for learning, teaching, pedagogical innovation and teaching capability across a large, diverse faculty. Shape future‑focused, inclusive, technology‑enhanced education across health, sport and science disciplines at Auckland University of Technology.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of innovative, technology‑enhanced teaching and learning strategies across the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences.
• Collaborate with academic staff, programme leaders, school leadership teams, the Office of Learning, Teaching and Educational Design (LTED) and the Associate Dean Academic to improve learning experiences and student outcomes.
• Drive inclusive, future‑focused education initiatives that span health, sport and science programmes.
• Serve a three‑year academic secondment while maintaining a substantive academic appointment in a relevant discipline within the faculty.

Required profile

• Established senior academic with a strong record of teaching excellence and educational leadership.
• Credible academic educator capable of shaping multidisciplinary health and science education.
• Underlying academic appointment in a relevant discipline within the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences.
