About the role
We are seeking an Experienced Audit Associate to join Deloitte’s Audit, Assurance and Reporting Advisory team in Hamilton. The role involves delivering audit and assurance services to a diverse client base, applying your 2‑3 years of practical experience in a chartered accounting environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
- Present findings and recommendations to clients and senior team members.
- Review written advice, reports, memoranda and other deliverables for quality and compliance.
- Analyse client data to identify risks and support business strategy decisions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
Required profile
- 2‑3 years of audit experience in a chartered accountancy firm.
- Understanding of IFRS and New Zealand accounting standards.
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent.
- CAANZ full membership or working towards it.
- Strong analytical, numerical and project‑management abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Knowledge of IFRS.
- Knowledge of NZ accounting standards.
