Experienced Audit Associate – Hamilton

About the role

We are seeking an Experienced Audit Associate to join Deloitte’s Audit, Assurance and Reporting Advisory team in Hamilton. The role involves delivering audit and assurance services to a diverse client base, applying your 2‑3 years of practical experience in a chartered accounting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
• Present findings and recommendations to clients and senior team members.
• Review written advice, reports, memoranda and other deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Analyse client data to identify risks and support business strategy decisions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of audit experience in a chartered accountancy firm.
• Understanding of IFRS and New Zealand accounting standards.
• Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent.
• CAANZ full membership or working towards it.
• Strong analytical, numerical and project‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Knowledge of NZ accounting standards.
