Entry Level Support Engineer

About the role

As an Entry Level Support Engineer you will be the first point of contact for IT‑related issues at client sites in East Auckland, primarily within the education sector. You will work on‑site, providing face‑to‑face assistance, managing tickets and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to resolve problems.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, chat and in person.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on Windows, Azure AD, networking and peripheral devices.
• Document and track incidents using the ticketing system and maintain daily timesheets.
• Escalate unresolved problems to appropriate teams and follow up until closure.
• Prioritise tasks, manage the ticket board and provide excellent customer service to non‑technical users.
• Travel locally across Auckland as required; flexibility with a 38‑hour weekly schedule (Mon‑Thu 8 h, Fri 6 h).

Required profile

• NZ citizenship or permanent residency.
• Valid NZ driver’s licence (full or restricted).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills for interacting with non‑technical staff.
