About the role

The Duty Manager (Front Office) will oversee daily front‑office operations at SO/ Auckland, ensuring seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Room Division Manager, you will act as the key link between guests and hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day‑to‑day front‑office activities and support the Room Division Manager in maintaining operational smoothness.
  • Coordinate guest interactions to deliver excellent service and resolve issues promptly.
  • Analyse customer feedback and propose improvements to leadership.
  • Maintain and update guest profiles in Opera Cloud, including VIP status.
  • Ensure safety and security of guests and staff, adhering to strict security procedures for cash, credit, key issuance and confidentiality.
  • Work flexibly on weekends and public holidays as required.

Required profile

  • Relevant front‑office experience in local or international hotels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management or Tourism (preferred).
  • Current New Zealand Manager’s Certificate License.
  • Current New Zealand First Aid Certificate (Level 1) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
  • Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail in high‑end hospitality.
