Day of Operations Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Day of Operations Specialist to join our Auckland‑based operations team. In this role you will keep NZ Post’s national network running smoothly by monitoring performance, managing transport schedules and reacting to issues in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate transport schedules and optimise loads across the network.
• Respond quickly to operational challenges and implement contingency plans.
• Support driver safety and wellbeing while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Manage cost‑effective transport solutions and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain seamless operations.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in transport operations, dispatch or coordination is a plus.
• Strong understanding of MS Office tools.
• Willingness to work the specified night shift pattern.
