Commercial Associate – Wellington

About the role

Kiwibank is looking for a Commercial Associate to join its business banking team in Wellington. You will support Kiwi businesses by managing a portfolio of commercial customers, assessing credit applications and delivering tailored banking solutions that help them grow.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day activities of an assigned commercial customer portfolio.
• Assess, structure and process credit applications for commercial loans.
• Provide customised banking solutions that meet the needs of existing, new‑to‑business and prospective customers.
• Collaborate with Commercial Growth Managers to build strong, trust‑based relationships.
• Monitor portfolio performance and ensure compliance with credit policies.

Required profile

• Confidence in assessing complex financial risk and structuring lending solutions.
• Experience in business or commercial banking with a solid understanding of financial analysis and lending.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong relationship‑management skills focused on building trust and adding value.
