Commerce Teacher – Senior Business Studies (Start Aug 3)

About the role

Rangitoto College is seeking a Commerce teacher to deliver Senior Business Studies (and related subjects) from 3 August 2026, with flexibility to negotiate the start date. The role is within a high‑performing, well‑resourced department that values a Knowledge‑Rich Curriculum, Mātauranga Māori and research‑informed teaching practices.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, teach and assess Senior Business Studies and other commerce‑related courses.
• Contribute to the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme, potentially delivering Business Management.
• Participate in co‑curricular activities and school community events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high academic standards and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher registration for secondary education in New Zealand.
• Ability to teach senior‑level business subjects; experience with NCEA and/or IB is desirable.
• Positive, hardworking attitude and willingness to engage in collegial teamwork.
• Commitment to the school’s vision of inclusive, high‑achievement learning.

Required skills

• Curriculum design and delivery for Senior Business Studies.
• Understanding of NCEA assessment standards.
• Familiarity with International Baccalaureate Business Management (optional).
