Coach Driver – Long‑haul Services (4 days on/4 days off)

About the role

Tranzit InterCity is looking for a professional coach driver to join its Tauranga team, operating long‑haul services across the North Island. The role follows a 4‑days‑on, 4‑days‑off roster with one overnight stay per cycle and may include occasional charter work.

Key responsibilities

• Operate rear‑steer Class 4 coaches, including double‑deckers, on scheduled long‑distance routes.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, report defects, refuel and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist passengers with luggage (up to 25 kg) and ensure a positive travel experience.
• Adhere to safety, health and company policies at all times.

Required profile

• Class 4 driver’s licence (passenger endorsement or ability to obtain one).
• Physically fit for handling luggage and occasional heavy lifting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
